From 31 October to 29 November, the flavours of Terschelling take centre stage during the Culinary Weeks. For an entire month, around 25 restaurants and food shops offer special menus, local dishes and surprising tastings.
From fish and shellfish to seasonal vegetables, cranberries, goose, potatoes and naked oats, Terschelling has a wide variety of local products. During the Culinary Weeks, island chefs use these ingredients to create special dishes together with local producers.
The Culinary Weeks highlight the many products that are grown, caught or produced on Terschelling and show the importance of local cooperation. Farmers, fishermen, producers and chefs work together towards a more sustainable and self-sufficient food supply on the island. This connects with the Van Eigen Bodem Terschelling project, which explores how the island can produce and consume more local food in the future.
Whether you're looking for an elaborate dinner, a relaxed lunch or a small tasting, there's something for everyone to discover. Each participant gives the local ingredients their own unique twist.
Taste Terschelling and discover what the island has to offer.
More information will follow. Keep an eye out for the event poster or check the Terschellinger newspaper for the programme and latest updates.
