<p>Kinnum is one of the oldest settlements on Terschelling. Currently Kinnum has about 40 inhabitants. The name of the village was already mentioned in a deed of the Frankish king 'charlemagne' in the year 922. Northwest of Kinnum lie the remains of the old settlement Stortum, which was lost in 1825 during a flood.</p>

When the boat arrives, the first village you see is West-Terschelling. In this lively village there is plenty to do. Visit museums or go out for a meal.

West aan Zee is one of the seaside resorts on Terschelling, which consists only of summer houses. There is also a hotel and a beach pavilion.

Between the two largest villages lies the small village of Hee. In the summer, you can have a lovely swim in the 'Duinmeertje' close to the campsites.

The most eastern village of Terschelling is Oosterend. The village is situated on the edge of De Boschplaat. Here, the Wadden Sea is right in front of you.
