Sailing on the mudflats with 'de Toekomst' and spot seals along the way. The Future is a kof ship with a length of 30 meters and about 6 meters wide. These ships used to be widely used for trade in the Wadden Sea area. In 2002 the two-master was launched. There is room for 60 passengers on board. The home port is Terschelling. To sail If there is enough wind, the sails are hoisted and the boat sails along sandbars, through channels and sea inlets and the seals are spotted. The crew is essential for sailing. Are you sailing as a crew member? It is a sporting challenge, in which you can be involved in all facets of sailing with the Future. A minimum of 12 people are required to hoist the sails and tack in the sailing area. If there is not enough participation, it is possible to go sailing with the sailing sloop 'Heemskerck'. If you book at short notice (+/- 3 hours before the start), please contact skipper Gijs first. The duration of the tour is 2.5 hours.
