Sailing along the seals with the Toekomst
Sail the mudflats with 'de Toekomst' and spot seals along the way. De Toekomst is a kofschip (a Dutch kof ship) with a length of 30 meters and a width of approximately 6 meters. These ships were once widely used for trade in the Wadden Sea region. The two-master was launched in 2002. There is room for 60 passengers on board. The home port is Terschelling. Sailing If there is sufficient wind, the sails are hoisted and the ship sails along sandbanks, through channels and inlets, spotting seals along the way. The crew is essential for sailing. Would you like to join us as a crew member? It's a sporting challenge where you can get involved in all aspects of sailing with de Toekomst. If you book at short notice (approximately 3 hours before the start), please contact skipper Gijs first. The trip lasts 2.5 hours.

Important to know
Dogs are allowed upon consultation. If you book at short notice (+/- 3 hours before departure), please contact skipper Gijs. Please arrive 15 minutes before departure! The sailing trip will take place subject to sufficient participation, a minimum of 12 people.

Relaxed sailing trip from the harbor of West Terschelling towards the Seals. Sail with sailing ship 'De Toekomst' during a 2.5-hour sailing trip on the Wadden Sea from Terschelling. Sailing experience is not necessary. Enjoy the view and the sun on deck or help the crew hoist the sails. Tersailing offers various trips, such as a sailing trip to the seals or a dinner at sea. They also provide sailing trips for groups and companies and 'De Toekomst' can be offered as a wedding location on Terschelling. Inside the ship is a spacious lounge and attractive bar.
