Observation evening in Dark Sky Park De Boschplaat. Enjoy the Milky Way in the darkest place in the Netherlands, with explanations by a professional astronomer. In clear weather there is also the option to observe through an advanced telescope. We will also walk through the dunes to optimally observe the starry sky. The next series of observation evenings will take place from July 31 to August 12, 2024. These evenings are very popular, so be quick. The planned evenings during this period are almost fully booked.

The explanation is in a small group of maximum 15 people. On request, the explanation can also be given in English. In case of cloudy weather, an alternative date will be proposed in consultation with the participants. When the moon is visible in the evening, the Milky Way is less visible. Then a nice alternative is offered: observing the mountains and craters on the moon through an advanced telescope. Bring a sweater or jacket, even in the summer it can get quite cool in the evenings. Please be there 10 minutes before the start of the activity.
