Dark Sky Wadden Events organizes unique observation evenings at Dark Sky Park De Boschplaat. Enjoy the Milky Way at the darkest location in the Netherlands, with explanations from a professional astronomer. In clear weather, there's also the opportunity to observe through an advanced telescope. We'll also walk through the dunes to optimally observe the starry sky from a dune hollow. The next series of observation evenings will take place from July 26th to August 12th, 2025. Please note that the observation evenings will only take place if the weather is sufficiently clear! If it is cloudy, you can change your booking to another date or receive a refund.

The explanation is in a small group of maximum 15 people. On request, the explanation can also be given in English. In case of cloudy weather, an alternative date will be proposed in consultation with the participants. When the moon is visible in the evening, the Milky Way is less visible. Then a nice alternative is offered: observing the mountains and craters on the moon through an advanced telescope. Bring a sweater or jacket, even in the summer it can get quite cool in the evenings. Please be there 10 minutes before the start of the activity.
