Join a birdwatching excursion, led by an experienced guide from the Dutch Forestry Commission. We'll start from the parking lot at the entrance to the Hoornerbos forest. From there, we'll hop on our bikes and set off in search of the island's diverse bird species. Spring and autumn are particularly good times for birdwatching. Breeding birds are active in spring, and countless species pass through the island during migration. Along the way, the guide will help you spot and identify birds and tell you more about their behavior, habitat, and the influence of the dynamic Wadden Sea region. During the 2.5-hour excursion, we'll cycle to various landscapes and search for the species found there. The route will be determined by the weather and tides. The excursion is suitable for both novice and experienced birdwatchers. Don't forget to bring binoculars.

Terschelling consists of 80 percent nature. None of the Wadden Islands is as varied as Terschelling. Between the two seas lie forests, beaches, dune valleys and salt marshes, polders and heathland. A long string of villages connects west with east.
