The Boschplaat is closed to people during the breeding season because of the many breeding birds that occur there. An exception is made for once on the day of the Wadden Sea. You will take a unique walk with the ranger. At low tide you go via the mudflats and through the rifts under the Boschplaat. Then via the Oostpad across the salt marsh, via a seagull colony, breeding spoonbills within binocular distance. We will certainly also see avocets, terns, curlews, eiders and harriers! Departure is at 7 am at the parking lot at the end of Dwarsdijk. The duration of this walking tour is 6 hours. You will be back around 1:00 PM.

Terschelling consists of 80 percent nature. None of the Wadden Islands is as varied as Terschelling. Between the two seas lie forests, beaches, dune valleys and salt marshes, polders and heathland. A long string of villages connects west with east.
