He worked for Staatsbosbeheer as a bird watcher on the Boschplaat for more than 30 years, where he gained enormous knowledge of all flora and fauna. You cycle on your own (rental) bicycle through the polder and along the Wadden Sea. You see the breeding, migratory or polder birds of that moment. Oene talks about the special features of the area and the wading and meadow birds. The most beautiful stories come along. When can you see the bar-tailed godwit?
