Terschelling is one of the darkest areas in the Netherlands. It is no coincidence that the Netherlands' first Dark Sky Park can be found on this island. You can experience the darkness of the night all over the island, even under the light of the Brandaris lighthouse. The Staatsbosbeheer nature guide will take you along to discover the darkness of West-Terschelling for yourself. After a short introduction, you will set off on foot for a 1.5-hour walk. As your eyes slowly adjust to the dark, your senses become sharper. Listen to the sounds of the night and hear fascinating stories about this area. In clear weather, you will see the starry sky. Join us and discover the darkness of the island in West-Terschelling. During the summer months, the nights are short and it does not get completely dark. During this period, you will experience the onset of darkness together with the guide.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start. Pets are not allowed. Less suitable for people with walking difficulties, babies and toddlers. Think of suitable clothing and good (waterproof) walking shoes or boots.
