While the island is still sleeping, the mudflats are already full of life. Softly rippling water, a bubbling mudflat bottom and the sound of dozens of species of birds. Anyone who visits Terschelling visits the only natural world heritage site in the Netherlands. The Wadden Sea is recognized worldwide as a unique nature reserve, something to be proud of. And that is certainly the Wadden Association! What makes the area so unique is best experienced during an excursion with one of our guides. During the summer months, the Wadden Association, together with enthusiastic volunteers, organizes activities on the mudflats and beach of Terschelling almost every day. There are various excursions: North Sea excursion, mudflat excursion (also during the "Golden Hour" in the evening and the "Awakening Wadden Sea" in the early morning), and the children's beach day. also a special mudflat tasting.
