Knowing more about bees means better understanding their importance to the environment. You look around you with different eyes when you know more about bees. What blooms in which season? What flies where? How healthy or unhealthy are the nectar and pollen-providing plants in your surroundings? The more you know, the more wonder you see how a bee colony develops, how they communicate, how they handle food, and how they are organized. This 3-day course is held based on interest and starts on Monday; Tuesday and Wednesday are predominantly practical days. The lessons are in the morning from 10:00 to 12:00, including a digital textbook.

Heel leerzaam én plezierige ervaring, veel van opgestoken!
Actually, the apiary is a craft place for processing bee products. This can be all kinds of varieties of honey, such as heather honey, linden blossom honey, willow honey, sea lavender honey, or as a common denominator: boschplaat honey. But care products such as soap or skin creams with propolis, beeswax and royal jelly are also processed here. With the motto “Delicacy at every tide” there is something for everyone to enjoy in the Bijenpark. Our sea lavender honey was chosen as the tastiest European honey in a test in the US last year. We are quite proud of that!
