Discover the history of the bunkers. During the Second World War, the Tigerstellung played an important role in the air war. The radar station was built by the Germans to detect bombers taking off from the United Kingdom. The entire complex, covering an area of 7 hectares, consists of 100 bunkers where over 200 German soldiers lived and worked during the war. During the tour, you will visit a number of historically furnished bunkers, and the guide will provide detailed information about the bunker complex and Terschelling during WWII. The excursion concludes at the visitor center. There, photos, texts, and a film complement the guide's story. The excursion lasts 2 hours and is conducted in English. Dutch-language tours can be booked through the VVV (Tourist Information Office). At the Tigerstellung, there is a parking lot for a limited number of cars, and ample space is available for parking your bicycle at the bike racks.

For decades, the "Tiger Defence Line" from World War II, with its hidden stories, remained virtually invisible. The former canteen building has been transformed into a fascinating exhibition and reception area. There's plenty to do in the museum. For example, there's a treasure hunt for children, and you can book a guided tour on our website, which will lead you on a journey of discovery through various impressive structures. Prepare to be amazed! GPS Game: An informative GPS game has now been developed for families and groups of (young) adults to play inside and outside the museum. Collaboration and discovery are key. You can find all the information about the game at the museum's visitor center.
