8.5 Very good
Together with a nature guide from Staatsbosbeheer (the Dutch Forestry Commission), you'll discover a unique part of De Boschplaat. During the walk, you'll experience expansive vistas and pass the salt marsh, the Jollemabosjes (Jollema Woods), and Rozenlaantje (Rose Lane). From the Jan Thijssenduin, you'll have an impressive view of this expansive nature reserve, where it sometimes feels like you have the world all to yourself. It's no wonder De Boschplaat has been designated a European Nature Reserve and is part of the Wadden Sea UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Terschelling consists of 80 percent nature. None of the Wadden Islands is as varied as Terschelling. Between the two seas lie forests, beaches, dune valleys and salt marshes, polders and heathland. A long string of villages connects west with east.
