On the beach of Midsland aan Zee you can experience the Cyprian race, a race with horses with a historic character.
If there was an earlier message that a ship was in need, the bursting blood of the islanders came up and the men with horses went to the beach as quickly as possible. One of those ships was 'De Cyprian', a ship that wrecked off the coast of Midsland. With the Cyprian race, this memory of the race of the Jutters is honored.
The Cyprian race starts at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 23 at Midsland aan Zee.
