Art at Church

Changing cloudy skies or a clear blue sky. No day on the island is the same. The sea turns from green to blue with everything in between and sunbeams between the trees provide hundreds of shades of green. Light is wonder. And in many ways it can affect you; in nature but also the light in the people around you.

The Dutch Light inspired many artists throughout the centuries. And the light on the island is perhaps the most beautiful. Here, artists are still inspired daily to capture this light. On a canvas, a photo, in a story or between the threads of wool. Light is in everything around you. And luckily, these artists have put together a beautiful palette for us with a few gems that you don't want to miss. Come and see!

From 16 to 28 October, every day from 2 pm to 5 pm in the Reformed Church in Midsland.

With work by: Alex Hamstra, Danielle Sauer, Dorine Vleeshouwer, Frans Schot, Geeske Roos and Riet Bais - Art, Jacoba de Graaf - Meuldijk, Karin Miedema, Marjolein van Roosmalen, Nienke Meijvogel - Blom and Pleun Procee.

Be surprised by the island's creativity. Admission is free, but donations are always welcome. The exhibition can be visited every day from 16 to 28 October 2023 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Reformed Church in Midsland.
