Kaapsduin is the highest dune of Terschelling, which is 31.4 meters above NAP. A concrete path has been constructed here, making it possible for wheelchair users to climb up. Once at the top you have a magnificent view over the village of West-Terschelling, over the Noordsvaarder to Vlieland and over the Wad. The striking Seinhuisje stands on the Cape dune immediately west of West-Terschelling and was built shortly after the war as a naval sentinel station. To help ships determine their position, the Navy monitored radio traffic between ships.
