The Arjensduin is located in the hamlet of Hee, near the De Kooi campsite. The name 'De Kooi' refers to the duck decoys that were located in this area. In 1930 it was decided to plant trees on and around the dune to prevent drifting. The trees have since been cut down and the Arjensduin is overgrown with beach grass. From the viewpoint you look out over the dunes of Terschelling and you have a beautiful view of the well-known dune lake of Hee and the surrounding campsites. At the top of this dune is the solitary tree, now a well-known landmark.
The top of the dune can be reached by stairs. At the foot of the dune, on the Heester Kooiweg, there is a bicycle shed.
