This cozy restaurant on the Dorpsstraat in Hoorn is typically Irish-Terschelling, run by native Terschellingers Liesbeth and Arien Roos. With the typical Irish dishes and Irish music, the guest feels like he is in Ireland. In addition to the extensive à la carte menu, the "Irish Menu" is served all year round; a delicious 3-course menu. Especially during weekends (and during the season also outside weekends), the restaurant can quickly become fully booked. So would you like to come over for dinner? Then reserve a table in time, by telephone or email. Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
After 25 years, Ariën and Liesbeth sold their restaurant and B&B to chef Sander Wever and his partner Michel de Kivit on October 1st. The coming three months of 2024, Sander and Michel will continue De Koegelwieck in the same style, with the familiar Irish atmosphere and the rooms as shown on the website. After January 5th, the doors will temporarily close to transform the restaurant and B&B into a new concept that matches their own dreams, in which they can express their passion and creativity.
