On top of the Kaapsduin near West-Terschelling is a bronze model of the entire island. This artwork is specially designed for the visually impaired and blind. The model is over 3 meters long and 70 centimeters wide. On a scale of 1 in 10,000, all villages, striking buildings and nature reserves of Terschelling have been made tangible and described in Braille. On top of the dune, the island is now visible and tangible for everyone. The artwork is part of the 'Tastbaar Terschelling' project as an initiative of the Sporen in het Zand foundation.
