The Commando bunker Berta is the largest bunker on Terschelling and can still be seen in its original condition. Various functions were housed here, such as command, data processing and radio communication. The bunker, consisting of 2 floors of 20 by 20 meters, was also used to safely accommodate personnel and equipment. The most important function, however, was the coordination of the combat command in the airspace above Terschelling.
