8.3 Very good
Wad was completely renovated in 2019 and equipped with all kinds of modern comfort and amenities. Such as underfloor heating, a spacious walk-in shower, a leather three-seater sofa and two armchairs, a TV with Netflix option (no subscription) and a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, oven, induction hob, fridge with freezer compartment and a Dolce Gusto coffee machine. There are two separate bedrooms with 2x1 person box spring beds of 90x200. In a separate room is a washing machine. Unlike 2019, your dog is welcome in the four-person apartment Wad. Anyone who takes a holiday in Wad will not be short of anything. The apartment is located in a quiet residential street, just a minute and a half walking distance from the ferry. Walk two streets further, you can choose from the nicest terraces and restaurants in the always lively center. Wad does not have a terrace itself, but it does have a cozy mosaic sidewalk at the front of the house where you can enjoy your morning coffee. Just like the islanders themselves do.

The Wind, Wad and Water apartments are located at Commandeurstraat 20 in West-Terschelling and have recently been renovated. It is less than a 2 minute walk from the ferry. All apartments have a separate entrance. If you are staying in one of our comfortable apartments, West-Terschelling is your base. After the ferry has transported you from Harlingen across the Wadden Sea, you will arrive at your apartment in a maximum of five walking minutes. Nice terraces and restaurants are always nearby in West-Schylge, which is the largest village on the island with more than 3,000 inhabitants. The Brandaris lighthouse, which has been watching over Terschelling since 1594, towers above the typical islander houses everywhere. Did you know that the Brandaris also serves as a wedding location? In West you should definitely not miss a visit to Museum 't Behoudt Huys. Here you can learn everything about the history, culture, seafaring and life of the most famous Terschelling: explorer Willem Barentsz.
