The five-person apartment Wad en Zee was built in 2010. Originally there was an old farm here. Where the barn used to be, now stands Wad & Zee. The house has been rebuilt from as many old materials as possible. On the ground floor there is a spacious, attractive living room with smart TV and a cozy open kitchen with, among other things, a combi microwave, induction plate and dishwasher. There is also a washing machine and dryer. Wifi is of course also available. There are three bedrooms on the upper floor; a bedroom with a double bed, a cozy bedroom with 2 x single beds in the 'schûntsje' and a bedroom with a bunk bed. The house is suitable for 5 adults with a child and possibly a baby. The bedrooms are equipped with comfortable Auping beds. Upstairs you will find the bathroom with, among other things, a rain shower and toilet. The private backyard can be reached from the living room through the French doors. The private backyard is located on the southeast and therefore has sun almost all day. Here you can enjoy delicious food and sit outside. A spacious terrace has also been created at the front. Within 50 meters you can rent bicycles and fresh bread is available daily. There are also several nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. The Hoorn forest and nature reserve 'de Koegelwieck' are literally around the corner. The beach is a 1.5 km scenic bike ride through the Hoornse bos. People with asthma or allergies have been taken into account in the finishing and furnishing of the house. For this reason it is not allowed to smoke in the house and it is also not allowed to bring pets.

Heerlijk huis!
Groetjes Marianne
Heerlijke plek voor weekeindje Terschelling
Terschelling has a special place in our lives because my ancestors were real islanders. The Terschelling national anthem was written by one of them. My ancestors lived in Hoorn in an old farm, which can still be found as a national monument in Hoorn. Hoorn is a nice quiet place on the island. Near forest and dune area. Because we would like to share this unique place, we have decided to open our house for rent. Due to allergies of our children, we have a cozy but as allergenic as possible family home or home. That is why pets are unfortunately not welcome. Because Wad&zee is our second home, you will find a complete house where you immediately feel at home. We wish you a nice time in Wad&zee, greetings Marianne, Martijn, Bente, Nils, Jurre.
Tips with "What you should definitely do on Terschelling when you are in Wad&zee": A bike ride along the Wad to the Boschplaat and via Oosterend, (the beach transition) and then via the bicycle path through the dunes to the Hoornse beach, finally back home via the Hoornse forest. Especially beautiful at sunrise or sunset. (tip, opt for tailwind along the Wadden dike) Are you on Terschelling in winter? Don't forget your skates. The ice rink is in the forest. Or in snow on a garbage bag from the dune. In the autumn you can pick cranberries, at home in the Wadden Sea and the sea you can make jam out of them. You just need some water and sugar. What should you definitely do once in your life? Swimming in the Wadden Sea at high tide at Lies from the jetty. Picking an oyster on the mudflats and eating it right away. Crab race on the jetty in Lies. But do not kill or damage the animals. Is it dark? Then walk to the highest dune towards Oosterend. And from there see the lighthouses of the other islands and of course the Brandaris. Don't forget to look at the stars (images) above you. Tip, without a flashlight this is a true experience.
