Campsite on West of Staatsbosbeheer

Staatsbosbeheer camping West
Campsite on West of Staatsbosbeheer

The site does not have electricity, but does have sanitary facilities where electricity is available. The site is equipped with charging lockers for mobile devices and possibilities to charge electric bicycles. You can also enjoy a campfire in the fire hut. Our forester Hessel Hek regularly strolls around the camping site with children to show what there is to be found. Various excursions are also offered. For example, you can pick wild animals and there is a nature barn near the  camping site where you can visit changing exhibitions about the nature of Terschelling. If you prefer adventure, you can go on a canoe trip to search for the seal, highly recommended! Because a common seal is not that common. Its name is mainly due to the fact that there is also another seal in the Wadden Sea, the gray one. The harbor seal mainly hunts for fish by touch. For this he has at his disposal, among other things, a few long and extremely sensitive whiskers. During the day they often sunbathe on the sandbanks off the coast. They don't need an easy chair for that. You cannot book online for Oerol. There is room for tent campers during this festival, but registration and payment is only possible at the campsite.
