Hoeve Stortum was originally a horse farm and dates back to 1890. In the 1970s, Hoeve Stortum was converted into apartments. The farm is centrally located on the island, in the village of Kaard, meaning all amenities are close by, yet there are no disturbances during busy periods. Hoeve Stortum houses four apartments, three of which are south-facing. Apartment Otium is a cozy four-person apartment with a view over the playing field to the Wadden Sea dike. The terrace also faces south, making it a great place to sit outside in early spring or late autumn. There is a spacious kitchen equipped with a dishwasher and a combination microwave. Bedroom 1 has two single box-spring beds that can be easily pushed together and connected if desired. Bedroom 2 has two single beds. Both bedrooms have a washbasin. There is also a bathroom with a shower/toilet and underfloor heating. All four apartments offer the same amenities, including HD TV, free Wi-Fi, a dishwasher, and underfloor heating. The bathrooms have recently been fully renovated. All windows have mosquito screens. There is a covered bicycle shed where you can charge your electric bike. There is also a laundry room where you can wash and dry your clothes for a small fee. Plenty of clotheslines are available for drying laundry. The playground is ideally situated so that the south-facing terraces are not affected, while parents can still keep an eye on their children. Hoeve Stortum is accessible for people with disabilities, as everything is on one level. Hoeve Stortum is not suitable for people with disabilities.
