We are Dirk-Jan and Marloes and have 2 children. De Kooi is a real family business and the first camper was here in 1936. Back then it was really camping at the farm. In 1970, De Kooi became a real campsite and Dirk-Jan's parents started De Kooi as such. De Kooi has been a real ANWB Charme campsite from the very beginning and we are very proud of that. We hope to see you at 'De Kooi'
De Kooi is centrally located on Terschelling, surrounded by nature. Forest, dunes, mudflats and beach are all 'close' by bike or even on foot. The campsite is located between the villages of Midsland and West at the foot of the Arjensduin. You can experience the most beautiful sunsets on this dune. And at night you can sometimes see the Northern Lights in addition to a beautiful starry sky.
