Camping Nieuw Formerum
Camping Nieuw Formerum is a friendly family campsite. But also ideal for those seeking peace and quiet who want to enjoy all the beauty that Terschelling has to offer. There are several small fields. There is a playing field, volleyball court and a sandbox on several fields. There is also a room for the disabled. Just outside the campsite is the Bostheater, where there are regular performances.
Location
The campsite is located in the middle of the island, bordering the Formerumerbos and the Landerumerheide nature reserve. The beach and sea are 1.5 kilometers away. You can recognize Formerum by the mill. There is a supermarket close by, a cafe, a snack bar with miniature golf and ponies to pet or care for and to take for a walk.

From 2020, Bastiaan van Dijk and Jeannette van Strien will manage Nieuw Formerum. “Managing the campsite - with all the challenges, the collaboration with the staff and the contact with our guests - is a great experience,” says Bastiaan. 'We love living and working on such a beautiful island. We feel like a fish in water. And when the season is over, we like to enjoy the island ourselves or a holiday far beyond the borders.' 'We don't regret our choice to apply for a moment,' says Jeannette. 'We will be happy to receive our guests at Nieuw Formerum for many years to come and would like to contribute to a wonderful holiday full of precious memories!'

To stay at our campsite you choose a central location on the island. Our location is unique because we are in the middle of the island, bordering forest and heathland. All characteristic island villages are within easy reach. Nieuw Formerum borders the Formerumerbos and the Landerumerheide. The sea is close by.
