Introduction
At B&B De Wadden, you'll receive a warm welcome from Jan and Karin, the proud new owners of the former Pension De Wadden. Together, they have lovingly modernized the characteristic building with an eye for detail, while preserving the warm atmosphere it has always had. Jan and Karin love to personally welcome their guests and believe it's important that everyone feels right at home. Their motto: hospitality is in the little things – a friendly word, a good breakfast, and taking the time for a pleasant chat. As true Terschelling enthusiasts, Jan and Karin have been visiting the island for years and know the most beautiful spots, happy to share their tips. They are both involved in the daily operations of the B&B. Jan also applies his technical expertise to any minor repairs and is happy to help with anything related to cycling. He also works at Zeelen Rijwielverhuur, where our guests can easily reserve a (electric) bike. The bikes will then be ready for you at B&B De Wadden on the day of your arrival.
Tips from the host
Terschelling has something for everyone! Hop on your bike and explore the island via the cycle paths through dunes, forests, and along the mudflats. Take a walk to the iconic Drenkelingenhuisje (Drowning House) or enjoy the view of the Brandaris, the oldest lighthouse in the Netherlands. For those who love action: go climbing in the Climbing Forest, take a blokart ride, or discover the island from the water on a seal watching tour. For children, there's also plenty of adventure with mini golf and the play forest. Also visit the Bunker Museum or the Wreck Museum. Prefer to relax? Settle down on a terrace in the village or enjoy the sunset on the beach at West aan Zee.
