De Zeebaars is a 5-person split-level bungalow in a central location on the edge of the Landerumerheide nature reserve. It is located in the small-scale bungalow park De Bosch, with ample private parking. The Zeebaars is located directly at the entrance of the park and is separated by a beautiful hedge of conifers that ensures plenty of privacy. There is a large garden all around, with as much sun as shade. The Zeebaars received a complete update at the end of 2023. Everything has been painted, a new floor and a new kitchen have been installed and all the furniture and beds have been replaced. The house has a bright living room with open kitchen and has an area of over 25 m2. The living room is furnished with 2 nice sofas (2-seater plus 3-seater), some side tables and a rug. The house has a Smart TV with Netflix and ESPN. A Chromecast is also connected so you can stream your own programs if you wish. There is a radio, analogue and digitally connected, with a USB connection. The kitchen is equipped with, among other things, a dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, combination microwave/oven, citrus juicer and toaster. There is a large amount of pans, cutlery and crockery and other accessories. There are 5 chairs at the dining table. The bathroom has a walk-in rain shower, a double sink with illuminated and heated mirror, a wall-mounted toilet and a towel radiator. There are two bedrooms in the basement. The bedrooms are partly below ground level, which means the temperature is moderate in both summer and winter. The first bedroom (13 m2) has a double bed with 2 x 1-person mattress (choice of 2-person duvet or 2 x 1-person duvet), wardrobe, flat screen TV and a large built-in wardrobe. The second bedroom has 3 large single box-spring beds (90 x 200) and a flat screen TV. There is also a separate wardrobe there. The triple-glazed windows are equipped with fly screens. The surrounding garden has a large terrace with garden furniture. There is also a small terrace with a semi-permanent barbecue. There is a charging point for electric bicycles outside at the bottom of the stairs. The washing machine, dryer and an extra toilet are located in the utility room. There is also an ironing board, iron and a drying rack. Linen is exclusive. You can bring your own linen or rent it on the island. Pets are not allowed in the Zeebaars.

De Zeebaars is part of the small-scale bungalow park De Bosch, which is centrally located in a quiet area on the island of Terschelling. The park consists of 11 modern split-level bungalows, has its own parking lot and is located on the beautiful and freely accessible Landerumerheide nature reserve. Both the charming village of Midsland and the wide North Sea beach are approximately 1.5 km away and in the immediate vicinity there is a wide choice of popular restaurants, often with a wide range of Terschelling dishes and various cranberry specialties. For the children there is a pony park and a playing field nearby. There is great shopping and going out in Midsland. Terschelling is an ideal walking and cycling island. The island alone has 200 kilometers of hiking trails, not to mention the beach. You can cycle across the entire island via cycle paths of a total of 70 km. There are also beautiful off-road routes for trail runners and mountain bikers. If you want to experience Terschelling actively, consider the option of swimming or canoeing on the mudflats at the Green Beach, but you can also go SUPing, windsurfing, wave surfing or kite surfing in various places. There are challenging locations for both beginners and advanced users. For adventurers and climbers, there is the Climbing Forest in the forest of West Terschelling where you can climb, clamber, zip line and walk over obstacles at great heights (NB minimum height 1.30 m). Do you want to be less active but still do something? Enjoy a day of the beautiful wide sandy beaches, nature reserves and charming villages. Visit the famous Cranberry Barn and the coffee mill in Formerum, go to an activity organized by Staatsbosbeheer or spend a day shopping in West Terschelling. There is something to do for everyone. If you want, you can start the day very relaxed with yoga on the beach. During the summer holiday weeks, every morning at the beach entrance of Formerum aan Zee. From 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., provided it is dry. Terschelling has several beach pavilions where you can enjoy a drink and a snack after a day at the beach. The Terschelling Tourist Office offers an overview of the many excursions that are organised. From a walking tour or covered wagon tour to a seal tour with a lifeboat and a three-day summer walking tour on the beach. Highly recommended for hikers in the summer months is the Rondje Boschplaat with Staatsbosbeheer. A 4 to 5 hour trip of 18 km for people aged 12 and over where you experience the wilderness of the eastern tip of Terschelling and see large groups of migratory birds passing by. In autumn and winter you can go on an excursion with farmer Anne from Puur Terschelling. Together with Anne you drive in a 4x4 Landrover through the polder, along the dunes and over the Boschplaat. You will see the Frisian horses and sheep that live here all year round. Experience what it's like to be at the center of the herd. You can also take a donkey walk with GPS. The donkey carries the picnic basket, but can also carry a child.

De Zeebaars is a nice family home and/or suitable for 2 couples traveling together. Due to the height differences/steps in various places in the house, it is less suitable for less mobile people. For families with small children: there is a stair gate at the stairs to the bedrooms. There is also a cot and a high chair available.

Sehr gute Unterkunft
Mooi ruim huis en prima ligging qua natuur en centrum van Midsland en Formerum.
Best guest, We have been the proud owners of holiday home De Zeebaars since August 2023. Because we are not there all year round, we want others to enjoy our cozy family home. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! Yours sincerely, Karin and Peter
The holiday home is less than 50 meters from the freely accessible Landumerheide nature reserve. A beautiful walking area in all seasons. You are both walking and cycling fast in both Midsland and Midsland as sea. But Formerum as Formerum aan Zee is also close by. In the village of Midsland you can shop all year round, do your shopping and enjoy a snack or drink in the many cafes and restaurants. We recommend the Clipper for a nice dinner. For a simple but very tasty and affordable snack, we recommend the Clipper.
