Experience a unique festival weekend during the Blues Cruise: an annual event where sailing on the Wadden Sea meets blues and roots music. You'll spend the night aboard one of the historic sailing ships: Spes Mea, Bree Sant, Mars, Johanna Engelina, Frans Horjus, Poseidon, Waterwolf, or Jeppe v Schier. You'll sail to Terschelling with the musicians and enjoy an extensive live music program both in Harlingen and on the island itself. Sailing during the day and live music in the evening. Blues Cruise Package - Includes crossings to and from Terschelling on a historic sailing ship from September 25th to 27th, 2026 - 2 nights aboard one of the ships in a 2- or 4-person cabin - Full board: including 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 1 dinner - Includes bed linen, final cleaning, harbor fees, and tourist tax - Admission to all concerts in Harlingen and on Terschelling Program Friday – Harlingen The live blues program begins at 5:00 PM in venues including Grand Café Het Brouwdok and Jonas on Nieuwe Willemskade. At 8:00 PM, you'll board your ship, where you'll be welcomed by the skipper and a volunteer from the organizers. The main program kicks off at 9:00 PM with several blues acts at various locations in Harlingen, until approximately 1:00 AM. You'll spend the night aboard one of the participating ships. Saturday – Sailing to Terschelling After breakfast, the skipper sets sail for Terschelling. The musicians will also be sailing along. With a bit of luck, a spontaneous mini-concert will break out on deck along the way. Upon arrival in the harbor of West-Terschelling, dinner will be served at Fratelli, accompanied by live music. Afterwards, you'll enjoy a lively pub crawl with various blues acts in the village. Sunday – Return to Harlingen Around 10:00 AM, the ships will depart for Harlingen. Expected arrival is around 3:00 PM. Overnight stay on board You'll stay and sleep on a charming, historic sailing ship. Two- and four-person cabins are available on these traditional sailing ships. The organizers will determine the ship's layout. You'll sleep two in a two-person cabin, or three or four in a four-person cabin. Any requests will be taken into account as much as possible when determining the layout. If you're traveling alone and really don't fancy sharing a cabin, you can reserve a cabin exclusively for yourself for an additional fee. The ships feature a cozy lounge, a well-equipped kitchen, and shared bathroom facilities. There's no cook on board: breakfast and lunch are prepared by the participants themselves, on a voluntary basis. This contributes to the relaxed, communal atmosphere of the weekend. Sailing experience is not necessary. This package is suitable for lovers of music, sailing, and a relaxed festival atmosphere.
