Hoeve Stortum was originally a horse farm and dates back to 1890. In the 1970s, Hoeve Stortum was converted into apartments. The farm is centrally located on the island, in the village of Kaard, meaning all amenities are close by, yet there are no disturbances during peak periods. Hoeve Stortum houses four apartments, including the Amplus apartment, which faces south. Apartment Amplus is the largest, suitable for five people, and offers views of the south-facing garden, the playground, the Wadden Sea dike, and the village of Baaiduinen. There is also a comfortable bathroom with a shower/toilet and underfloor heating. The spacious kitchen is equipped with an oven, microwave, and dishwasher. The apartment has two bedrooms, one of which is the master bedroom with a double box-spring bed. The other bedroom has a bunk bed and a single bed. A cot can be added to the master bedroom if needed. Both bedrooms have a washbasin. All apartments offer the same amenities, including HD TV, free Wi-Fi, a dishwasher, and underfloor heating. The bathrooms have recently been fully renovated, and all windows have mosquito screens. There's a covered bicycle shed where you can charge your electric bike. There's also a laundry room where you can wash and dry your clothes for a small fee. Plenty of clotheslines are also available.
