Eco safari Terschelling eastside
Eco safari drives with 100% electric off-road vehicles, accompanied by a guide.
With these particularly quiet cars you come to places in nature that are not accessible with other vehicles.
This Eco safari of about 2 hours is suitable for everyone who loves nature! The guide tells you everything about
the island and we specifically look for the wild life on this beautiful island. We take all the time to spot animals
and arrive at many unique places. There is also ample opportunity to photograph. Of course there are binoculars
present. The routes are largely unpaved and were made available in cooperation with Staatsbosbeheer.
Are you having difficulty walking? Pass it on to the guide so that he can take it into account.
A dog may come along, but must be quiet and must be and remain on a leash.

Map & surrounding area
Lies is located between Formerum and Hoorn. The town consists of a center of farmhouses and houses along the Terschellinger main road. The oldest farm on the island is next to the road in Lies. Its name is Admir, and it dates from 1662. Lies might be small, but it’s big when you see how much pampering and natural experiences it has to offer.
In Lies you will find Island cheese, meat and coffee tot taste, or to take home with you. Hotel/terrace De Walvisvaarder is your address for personal relaxation and beauty care. The Forestry Commission’s Nature Barn (Natuurschuur) shows you the unique facets in the island nature. The cycle paths under the dune, towards Hoorn, leads you along the tensive trees in the ‘Nursery’, and reserve De Koegelwieck.
