Boschplaat-beach covered wagon ride
Across the beach, through the dunes, along the cranberry fields, polder, mudflats (gria) and a piece of nature reserve the Boschplaat. Our coachmen, real islanders, tell with visible pleasure about our beautiful island with its many customs, traditions and peculiarities.
This tour takes 2.5 hours. The covered wagons are equipped with large windows all around, when the weather is less comfortable you are sitting on warm sheepskin fleece blankets are always present. All our wagons have an easy step and for the disabled we have adapted covered wagons with ramps. During the booking you can indicate if ramps are required for your wheelchair in the comments.

Oosterend is the village farthest east on Terschelling, and closest to nature reserve De Boschplaat. This European nature reserve is a true feast for the senses, drawing your eyes to the ever-changing shapes of the dunes and channels. On top you can experience real, dense darkness: in this Dark Sky Park guides will be happy to show you the wealth of this unique nature area.
To the north, at the end of the 'Oosterender badweg' you find one of the seven beach pavilions. From there you can also walk tho the iconic 'Drenkelingenhuisje', where once shipwreckers found shelter.
